The Colony Texas is served by Lewisville Independent School District. The district has one early childhood center, 38 elementary schools, 15 middle schools, one ninth grade center, and five high schools. LISD prides itself on its educational prowess, especially with more than 18 schools receiving the exemplary rating and 28 schools earning the recognized rating by the TEA. The district also boasts six National Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence, the highest designation by the U.S. Department of Education. Lewisville ISD is educating more than 50,000 students and continues to prepare for growth as it is projected that the ISD is projected to grow each year by 1,200-2,000 students.
