The Recreation and Leisure Services Division take their job very seriously in Flower Mound. They are in charge of over 540 acres of parkland/ trails and are constantly finding new events and traditions to bring the community together. Residents also like to spend time sunbathing and swimming at Lake Lewisville and Grapevine Lake. The Schools of Flower Mound

Flower Mound Texas is served by Lewisville Independent School District. The district has one early childhood center, 38 elementary schools, 15 middle schools, one ninth grade center, and five high schools. LISD prides itself on its educational prowess, especially with more than 18 schools receiving the exemplary rating and 28 schools earning the recognized rating by the TEA. The district also boasts six National Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence, the highest designation by the U.S. Department of Education. Lewisville ISD is educating more than 50,000 students and continues to prepare for growth as it is projected that the ISD will grow each year by 1,200-2,000 students.
